A few holiday-themed highlights for some of the people we work with on a daily basis:
» The recently renovated, pioneer-themed Mystic Falls Park Light and Water Show at Boyd Gaming's Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall has once again transformed into a popular winter wonderland for the holidays. Garland streams, wreath adorned lampposts, white light and snow-covered trees fill the atrium, while Santa's workshop takes residence at the gazebo.
» Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada's pediatric office received a special visit from Santa Claus and Tigger when they arrived to deliver toys to young patients on Dec. 19.
» Trading in his reindeer for a shiny tour bus, Santa Claus came to town on Dec. 9 at the Galleria Mall in Henderson. Santa's stop coincided with Macy's National Believe Day. Macy's "Believe" campaign invites children of all ages to write a letter to Santa and drop it in the special Santa mail boxes by Dec. 24. Macy's donates $1 for each letter mailed in its stores, up to $1 million, to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.

Ever been at a networking event or out on the town and recognize someone, but can't remember his or her name? Enter Namerick, an app available on iTunes designed to help users remember names.
The person's name is first typed into the app, and then users can add a note about that person. The app will then produce a sentence to help you remember the name. The app will even remind you via text message about whom you met. |
