The Firm is There, Through Rain, Sleet or...Stardust

The Firm was on hand for one of the most exciting events of early 2007, the implosion of the Stardust Hotel and Casino—making way for Boyd Gaming's $4.4 billion Echelon project.

In the early morning hours of March 13, our team worked with nearly 100 members of the media from around the world—all together to witness a new chapter in Las Vegas' history.

At exactly 2:30 a.m., the implosion kicked off with a spectacular four-minute fireworks display, followed by a countdown that lead to the grand finale. The ground shook and the crowd roared, then a crash and a boom—the Stardust was gone within seconds.

After the excitement, The Firm team re-grouped to capture the moment in a cloud of the Stardust.

The Firm recently added exciting new companies and shows to its client roster:

Bally Technologies is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. From pinball to progressives, Bally Technologies has been making the games people play since 1932.

ICE: Direct from Russia is an exciting twist on the classic ice show, opening April 25 at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Russia's most athletic and disciplined ice performers will take you on a magical journey from the bitter cold of Moscow to the warmth and vibrant colors of the Las Vegas desert through dazzling, high-speed ice skating and stunning aerial acrobatics.

IntelliBED sells sleep wellness. Visitors to any of its four area locations will be able to experience its breakthrough IntelliGEL mattress and pillow products. IntelliBED also revolutionizes the mattress shopping experience by offering customers a pressure-mapping assessment to determine which mattress technology will give them the best night's sleep possible.

Glen, Smith and Glen Development is one of the most respected and sophisticated real estate development teams in Las Vegas. Commercial projects include The Park at Northpointe and The Park at San Martin. The Firm has been working with GSG on its Sullivan Square residential development since July and recently expanded its outreach to include GSG's commercial projects.

The Firm Gets National Television Exposure

The Firm, who handles the local press for Trump International Hotel and Tower, made national television on a recent episode of NBC's "The Apprentice" when a candidate vying for employment with Mr. Trump incorrectly used our office phone number on a brochure, instead of the number for the Trump sales office.

In the episode, the remaining candidates were given a task to create a marketing campaign for the project's newly announced second tower. The candidate responsible for the error seemingly lifted The Firm's phone number off of a press release or the Trump website and used it in the brochure.

Donald Trump asked, "What number is 9933?" and insisted that the candidates call to confirm, at which time the pleasant voice of our own Melissa Camarillo was heard.

At the end of the episode, the marketing blunder lead Donald Trump to fire Kristine from the process.

The Firm Launches Wellness Program

The Firm kicked off 2007 to a nourishing start by launching its wellness program—a way for the staff to unify in healthy living of the body and mind. The year began with "No Sugar January", a month free of candies and cakes in the office, replaced by healthy snacks and bowls of fruit. Employees were recently given water bottles and encouraged to drink at least 64 ounces of water each work day and also attended a meditation seminar. Future wellness program items include seminars on nutrition, weekly all-staff power walks and "Lunch and Learn" workshops.
