The head honchos behind the operation.
Solveig Raftery, President and CEO
Solveig comes from a long line of entrepreneurs and knew at an early age that running her own company was her destiny. She founded The Firm Public Relations & Marketing in 1993 and has never looked back. As President and CEO, she is intimately involved in devising strategy and developing creative ideas for the company’s clients. She is responsible for The Firm’s growth and new business development and works closely with the executive team.
Her take charge, no-nonsense personality, quirky sense of humor and boundless energy make for an interesting combination. Solveig’s strong media relationships and professional reputation are unrivaled. She has been honored with a Pinnacle Award as “Principal of the Year” by the Las Vegas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, and has been named “Person of Influence” by a leading Southern Nevada business publication and “Principal of the Year” by Women in Communications.
Prior to founding The Firm, Solveig was a PR account executive for R&R Partners. She oversaw three hotel/casino properties as director of Advertising and Publicity for Sahara Resorts and freelanced as an entertainment writer for LV Magazine.
Jasen Woehrle, Senior Vice President
With a drive to always win and ability to see the big picture and beyond, Jasen is an invaluable member of The Firm Public Relations & Marketing. Leading the agency staff, Jasen’s professional experience includes launching new products and businesses, organizing and facilitating community events and developing results-driven public relations campaigns. The Firm’s clients benefit from his marketing skills and creativity in developing unique story ideas and partnerships.
Originally hailing from the Midwest, Jasen developed leadership skills, the power of persuasion and a stellar work ethic at a young age. As a precocious tween, he started a library in his bedroom and charged fees to neighborhood children for late returned books, opened his own bank and created checks on a Commodore 64 and dot matrix printer and established himself as the go-to-kid in his subdivision for snow shoveling, lawn mowing and leaf raking.
His adolescent entrepreneurial spirit proved beneficial into adulthood. Prior to rising to Sr. Vice President at The Firm, where has worked since 2006, he thrived in leadership positions with many well-respected and nationally renowned artistic institutions, including the Tony Award-winning Chicago Shakespeare Theater, the critically acclaimed Stages St. Louis, the historic Goldenrod Showboat and The St. Louis Conservatory and Schools for the Arts.
